In August 2005, we went to Gruyère in Switzerland to pick up a new (for us) Piper P28R that we had bought for the Real Aeroclub de Gran Canaria. Before flying her home, we went for a test flight up amongst the Alps close to Mont Blanc. In this photo you can see a glider down in the valley. Now bearing in mind that we were at around 8.000 feet and this guy was way below us and the mountain peaks, in a glider (no engine) it comes to mind that he is either an expert or a complete idiot. I prefer to think the first was true. There was some beautiful scenery to be seen during this flight. Something that will stay with me for ever.
